Moral rightness, with perceived blessing of God, finds us in a struggle old as war, in name of religion.

Transforming an entire geopolitical region to our way of thinking, a region ruled and/or controlled by varied religious/sectarian factions, is our current endeavor.
This epic struggle, presented as a "War on Terror," is not so simple. Terrorist tactics are just that. They are tactical actions and/or responses. The weapons our perceived enemies deploy are outdated and primative. Although their bombs may be crude, their resolve rivals ours. They use any method available to repel us.
To us, their methods appear insane. Of course they are insane. War is insane. Would a cruise missle guided through your neighbor's window, from a thousand miles away, not appear insane? Would/does that not bring fear and terror?
It's all relative to perception. This is a conflict of those perceptions. The only thing for sure is that it won't be resolved as long as belief of moral and/or religious rightness, with perceived blessing of God, drives each side. This always has and always will be a failed path to peace.
Ultimately, we can only change (enlighten) ourselves...All of us. It is this conflict we first must win. Then, and only then, may we live in a State of Peace. This enlightenment approach may seem impossible. Killing each other until Armageddon would be a much easier pursuit. We have milleniums of practice and a plethora of munitions.
Which path we choose, may well determine our cumulative fate on this orb.
