Sublime Con Deceit

Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah.
This is what I hear as I see silent letters forming words about your mouth.
Drum, Drum Drum, Bang Bang, Bitty Bang Bang…Bang

I watch in disgust as you peevishly use words to apologize, you sad neophyte wanting to fly, poor Icaris failing escape.

Sit and pray Icaris, listen to god speak the words of everlasting joy, found only with him.

Deafen your ears to the Metaphor.

Humble yourself Icaris; break free of your isolated cage,
Avoid the sun.

Follow your god to his kingdom, that happy, happy place in the sky.
Where you get your wings for real.

Avoid the sun.
Deafen your ears to the Metaphor.

Follow me icaris, fly low to freedom,
Never use words for salvation.
Never approach the sea for warmth.
Because when your wings melt with salt,
Or when the wax burns from being to close to the sun.
Fly low Icaris.
And you begin to fall,
Your father will not stop to save you; he cannot forgive a dead son.
He cannot, he must watch back as the sea swallows you and continue on to salvation.
