Yes, Life really does go on... and you never realize it's value until you see it lost. I just found out the other day that my ex is dying of lukemia but he was able to make it to his graduation. We dated for 6th months but he was caught cheating. I knew he was sick but I didn't know he had cancer and was going to die. He isn't dead yet and I hope to whatever God is out there, if there is a God out there I get the chance to spend some time with him before he leaves. I'm not writing this to get anyones pity. But I do ask you that if you believe in God you pray for him. This year life has let me down in more ways than one and every time I thought things were getting better something would come along and drag me down, but not anymore. I refuse to be sucked into despair because I got problems. Everybody's got problems and everybody has their own way of dealing with it. You haven't lost until you give up. I was reading this book called Raisin in the Sun in English class this past week. It talks about a black family and their hardships as they try to make it in the world. They have everything going wrong for them but in the end it is their pride that pulls them through and helps them take a stand to the white man and live the life they deserve. It's a book about hope and how even when you are in the worst of situations there is always something worth living for. My ex was able to see that but I wasn't. He knew he was dying long before he got the final diagnosis but he still goes on every day and stays strong. He made his family put him in a wheel chair and role him up to graduation to get his diploma because he wasn't about to let cancer stop him from living and I want everyone and anyone who reads this when they think of the hard times they go through in life think of my ex and the cancer he fights daily. He is living his life to the fullest right now regardless of the fact that he could be gone any minute. Don't let the little things in life get you down and live happy. It's not about money or fancy clothes. It's not about name brands or what car you drive. Success is based on happiness. You could be the richest person alive, but if you die lonely you aren't anything. You could be the poorest person alive but if you die happy, you've been truly blessed. Don't take life or happiness for granted. Enjoy life. And any ladies out there who might see this post always know that a man worth the tears would never make you cry. That's a quote I got from the book the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. Yes I read girly books I know, but hey what can you expect? I love you all. Take Care. Muah @{~ SuGa

Thanks for taking the time to read my poems. Much love kiddos and I hope my poems meant something to you! Never give up on your dreams :)
