long ago i found the needle in the haystack-
it was jabbed into my arm
tourniquet like a noose 'round a babys neck-
vein suckling away whilst abreast,
the poor fools bleed their semen.
transfusion trangression to black hole gaping
tract marks belligerently hungry to flow
back to you and colour loving faces
but it won't flow from me-
blinded by this tourniquet
over eyes closed in prayer for the martyr
who sits mixing meataphors
who long ago sacrificed himself
for himself.
