Frayed moments
carefully sewn together created
a memory filled quilt.

One by one each represents
a moment that chose to become an hour.

Our life like scrambled patches is
colorful, meaningful,
worn and irreplaceable.

We stitched laughs, tears and
life tightly together.

Tattered material and
art eventually fade away but
fragile or not itíll keep us warm.

Life mended with invisible thread and
our years became forever.

Astonished eyes and
present chances took shape and now we
are an ever growing us.

I am on a journey. Looking for Me. Everyday I get a little closer. The more time goes by the more I realize I'm always changing. This journey could take forever... Renae L. Soler

The Quilt
Nae,

This is keeping in your introspective trend of love and acceptance. I think the image of a quilt goes handily with the sentiment. Point being that it's sentimental.

Tech: You need a couple of hyphens, darlin': "memory-filled" and "ever-growing".

Nice write!

Nae's "Quilt" of "Life"
Renae- Got sidetracked..Read earlier..This one may be enjoyed over and over...A "keeper."

I like idea of "warmth" given, even if from bittersweet reflection or experience. "Life" is, indeed, as a "quilt." May yours be colourful and a California, king-sized one, for sure.

Quilt
Nae, I love it. I relate.
How beautifully you expressed my need for my 'memory quilt' of moments. Really touching-
best to you-

nice poem...
you write some very positive and refreshing material. lots of folks contribute rather depressing takes on life (and that's fair enough), but you always seem to strive for that silver lining.

sincerely,

john.

Renae - The Quilt
Nae, I remember your My Journey of Color, must check it out again. Well, having always read that one and finding this, I could believe you specialize in poetry con artistry . You could easily sew together the two domains and therefore cater to both the artists and the poets in this community. Now I have three favorites and take note of that, because I do (and the others must check out the ones I am going to mention): I AM A CANDLE, MY JOURNEY OF COLOR, THE QUILT.

Poet, go, Poet ~ Go on, complete the journey!

The Quilt - Thank you's
I really really appreciate the thoughts and comments on this poem. This poem I feel is a stew of 20 years of marriage. It has been a rollercoaster. I finally feel like we have this thing moving in the right direction. Loving someone is easy, being married is not. My husband has been a diamond in the rough and I just wanted to tell him that.

Nae's Quilt, beautifully crafted
I read for a couple of days but not commented. Couldn't see well from too much sun on Tuesday..
Anyways, when I read this one time it gave me shivers.....how I wish I had a quilt like this. The second time the movie "Step Mom" came to me, with Susan Sarandon as the dying mother made a quilt for her daughter using pieces of the past for the daughter to hold onto...(one of my favorite movies).

I enjoyed this poem immensely. This is deserving of a 10 IMO. For there is nothing I would or could even think of to change it to make it better.

Thanks for sharing this, your passion goes beyond and deeper.
