For you are all sons of the light and sons of the day;
we are not of the night or of the darkness. 1 Thess 5:5

you are called to call yourselves
the sons of the living light
- the Son be with you
- it is your right

you are called to call yourselves
the sons of the living day
- your dreaming leaves you
- to come awake

to this time and to this season come
comfort one and all
the night that comes shall steal away
but not be let to fall

for these ones you love who pass away
they merely fall to sleep
the loving song of the Masterís call
shall raise them to their feet

to this day
to live this day
before the Lord

you are called to call yourselves
the sons of the living day
- your spell be broken
- it is His way

you are called to call yourselves
the sons of the living light
- His Word be spoken
- to do whatís right

in this time and in this season come
to comfort one and all
the night that comes shall steal away
but not be let to fall

for these ones you love shall pass away
yet they merely fall to sleep
the loving song of the Masterís call
shall raise them to their feet

upon this hope that never dies
in this daylight of the Lord
upon this day
the regal Son within these skies
commanding heavenís trumpet cries
to tears of joy within your eyes
upon this day
to live this day
before the Lord

you are called to call yourselves
before the Lord
to live this day
before the Lord

------
The body is a season,
the mind, a timepiece
and the spirit, a cloud passing.

hmmm, Thessalonika
I came here because Thessalonika is one of my favourite places in Greece, than and Mykonos *blush* hey they have good street artists there!!!

There are problems in these lyrics with sound and resonance, I would think more about the structure in terms of the sound of the words to gain the best meaning, at the moment the meaning is lost until you reach the end.

I hope that this is helpful.

Ambivalonika
On the one hand, I take heart that you share your opinion on this piece, but on the other hand, (it's always "the other hand" that causes trouble,) I can't follow the guidance you're offering. It's not that I refute there is a problem with the sound and resonance, it's just that those concepts, as speaking points, are a bit over my head. I can't identify them in the piece.
yours in respectful ambivalence,
Shawn
