The moment created this second, is a moment that's going to last.
It lives the full spectrum of time, the future, the present and past.

Parents of Necessity
Dem,
This was inspired by lamemansterms 'adopted'. Explanation is possibly in my comment there as I feel that destiny defines families, and even children or partners from the other side of the world will eventually come together if it was meant to be.

Born not of mother....adopted, fostered etc.
Parents of necessity... both physical and spiritual.
Destiny fulfilled......meant to be.

Not that I believe destiny is eveything, it just seems to play a majot role!

Bloodless Bond...
Explanation of the author was wonderful made the meaning of the poem crystal clear to me. But the first poem has the form of creative Senryu and the second section seems to be a random profound thought. Very entertaining read.

Ivor's Haiku
ivordavies: in the first line of your haiku, would you say that 'not' is a stressed word, or 'mother'? the context changes depending. if you are referring to mother by name, i recommend capitalizing it for greater understanding. enjoyable read.

Born not of family
Haigo,

Though I liked the questions the first line raised, I have been uncomfortable with this since I wrote it. I agree that simply capitalizing Mother will give the desired effect, thank you.

I had thought of posting my other version which I feel is more complete but not as intriguing:

born not of family
parents of necessity
destiny fulfilled

Thank you,

Ivor

Family made in Heaven
Either that or a step dad? ... but proves families are made in heaven!
