I said my thoughts one time to you
They were shot down I looked like a fool
Right then is when I learned a lesson or two
It is impossible to talk to you

I talked to you, "That's so wrong"
I wrote to you, "It's spelt with 'a'"
I looked at you, "Stare over there"
I am this way, "You'll change, ok"

I wrote some words in a valentine to you
You sent it back with grammar improved
That day is when everyone I knew heard
"Don't you dare, ever, let her read your word"

I talked, interrupt
I wrote, tore it up
See you, block my view
Don't touch my heart, it's not for you

One time, in Lit., I winked at your face
You shook your head, book thrown at mine stopped my gaze
Learning is never really quick for me
Just once is all it took for you to make me see
