soul mates
Hi Robin,

Cool haiku, but I'm wondering about "thus" on the second line. It worked better for me with "this".
The first line was my favourite here.

Alternatively for line 2, if you made it "acceptance"

"feed the flame of love
truth respect acceptance to
merge body mind soul"

or something like that?? See what you think.

I do like that much better, reads better, writing my haiku thoughts, reminds me of grammar school, counting syllables with my fingers...

thanks much Robin

robinbird: "free your mind and the rest will follow". i apologize for the frequency of quotes to your work, lately. this haiku is difficult for me to accept on the level of content, but if i think about the thoughts behind it exclusively, i find myself at a greater level of understanding. that is enough for me to transcend.

i enjoyed this.

Hi, Robin, your SOULMATES looks like a haiku but it may not be acceptable to many people in the USA as haiku.
You may like to read some very fine haiku published in LYNX ( You may also like to subscribe to haiku emailed daily from
Like you, I too have been a learner, as far as haiku and tanka are concerned, and am pleased to share with you where one reads some real good haiku.

like smithy's comment
Like this Haiku but I guess you should switch to Smithy's version in his comment.
