Waking up in the middle of the night
Shaking, trembling, full of fright
Waking up and seeing your shadow
Automatically turning on your light
Remembering your dream in a flurry
What did mean, what did it forshadow?
Without knowing it, you scream with fright
Then in comes your mom in a hurry
Knowing your scared she sits beside you
Then outloud screams your brother
So in comes father and out goes mother
Then passes a year
So comes that bad day
"Of anguish heart-striking,
Of soul-killing fright"
Then comes the hour you wake up
But something seems familiar this time
Then you remember and it all starts to rhyme
But suddenly all you know is that you are in cups.

waking nightmare
Well MortalAngel. What a funny nightmare. Waking up in cups? Everything seemed to be flowing nicely for the first ten lines or so, but then things get a bit frantic and confusing. Not bad, but needs some work on the second half.
