She was
born into poverty
abandoned and unwanted;
perfection demanded,
a soul undaunted.

She was
seldom noticed
and never heard,
abused for living,
her spirit undisturbed.

She was
an unfortunate creature
yet a determined one,
she grew strong and
proud that

She was
daughter of none.

I read your poems
rich and sweet
then lay roses at
your feet.

Forgive me for my tear stained paper here.....

A beginning is in here for a wonderful novel of the life of a very strong, beautiful woman. One that I am very proud to know as my dearest friend.

This is a wonderous example of why I call you Queen of Brevity Char.

Brava Bella Donna,

Dar ;)

Char, I HAD to come read this again,,,
I read several things earlier but this followed me today.
I was around alot of little children, this poem came to me then as I watched them play, cling to their parents.
Several of the kids I observed did not have their bio parents with them. Then I thought of this little girl you wrote of.

Haunting....and written so beautiful, not an edge of anger, hostility or regret. But this is SO you. I will be first in line for that novel. Just think having a book or story written by you all over the go with your beautiful paintings..and..your charcoals....Like Nae said, "Char YOU Rock!!!" And you do.

"her spirit undisturbed" extremely strong phrase!!!

with the outmost respect,
Darlene xo
