We find circumstantial evidence
the most droll humor in life
Of perception and reality
We see there's not much difference

Creeps creeping and seeping
sewage backing, over flowing
She's the sweet smell of marigolds
The commissioner's out of words
to explain away all that's gone wrong

There's a man in a box top hat
soiled by pigeon debris
The old barge captain sits on the dock
waiting for his ship to come in
His place at the helm he concedes
Some sub space particle he concurs
has set the pace for his life's departure

Arrival times are checked and reassured
Still flights are delayed and incoming
there's chatter on the radios
Everybody in the cockpits scared pale
The towers lost control of this one folks

Hope the last words you said were memorable
cause you'll be remembered for them
even if they were dumb, there'll be a spin to make us proud
the chatter on the radios
filled our heads full of clout
The towers lost control of this one folks

Still I felt we had something
Seemed a bit platonic
Cant we build on it
Everybody in my heads scared pale
I've lost control of myself once again

We find circumstantial evidence
the most droll humor in life
Of perception and reality
We see there's not much difference
