Rock music is anti-Christian, homosexuals tend toward intrinsic moral evil, yakity yak and so on. I'm sorry but the appointment of Joseph Ratzinger as new pope disturbs me. Why somebody 78 years old? Was there nobody else a tad younger and a bit less reactionary? Good God (sorry) the man has been termed 'God's Rottweiller' with viewpoints that seem destined to drag the church back into the 19th century. The Vatican is completely out of touch with its congregation and appears to be determined to stay that way. Now we have a conservative pope, a conservative US president and unless our General Election produces a shock result comparable to a canary savaging a vulture, B-liar will be back in power, straddling the middle fence and leaning left and right depending on which way the wind blows from Parliament and trust me there's no lack of hot air from that direction. What a gleesome threesome, this is going to be an interesting few years to say the least.

On the Election erection now. The Tory snappy line reads, 'Are You Thinking What We're Thinking?' How the hell would I know? Unless I'm thinking, 'What scare tactics can I use to get me a seat in Parliament, which will mean four years of conning my constituents into believing I actually give a bugger about any of their petty grievances, while I make a nice little bundle for myself, write a couple of books, get my nephew on to TV with his own show (That would be a trick, he's only seven)and if I get caught with my fingers in the till, sell my story to the press for a whopping amount of money.'
Me cynical? nawwwww.
Good to be back after pounding the text books and keyboard since last Sept. Got all my assignments done and now I just need to revise for the end of year exams - yikes!

Take care all - I'll try to pay a visit more often, now that I'm nearly finished for this year.

Hi Tina
Thanks for taking time to comment and I agree with both of your remarks. It's got to be a case of wait and see, I suppose. I'll definitely be voting this time around - there's a bnp candidate up for election, so I want to help make sure he fails. As to myself, well, okay so far, enjoying studies but a bit nervous about exams. How's Babypink and her pink baby? Haven't heard any news about them for ages. Give her my regards next time you see her.

Take care
