Kids can be cruel
They can be spolied and mean
They're sponges soaking messages
From all they've seen.

They use bad words
They shout out names
They're not polite
Yet who's to blame?

When will they learn
That being kind and nice
Costs them nothing they can't afford
And will be repaid at least twice.

Treat all with kindness and respect
You never know when you'll regret
The nastiness and venom spewed
The words you say when you're upset.

Parents listen to your girls and boys
They are so little for a short while
Your children deserve the very best
They copy your ways and model your stlye.

So if kids are cruel whose to blame?
I cannot judge, but I will be clear
I only ask that you are aware
Of the little ones who may be near.

Be a prime role model of all that is good
Please don't be a let-down Mom or Dad
Kids live what they learn we've all heard that
Be the best example your child has had.
