I know it was real
How you made me feel
I know youíre the one
And you shouldnít be gone

You left me confused
As I canít seem to loose
Your memory remains
And itís causing me pain

On days when I see you
I lie to your face
But the knife only cuts deeper
When I say ďthings are greatĒ

See we all carry secrets
Secrets of love
The more that love hurts
The less itís brought up

That love that still lingers
Long after sheís gone
The feelings we hide
As we pretend to move on

When love is one sided
Itís never set free
If her love is less
Itís a secret weíll keep

So Iíll bleed here forever
My wounds never seen
Loosing the battle
Of you leaving me

Iíll live out a sad song
The words make me cry
Those lyrics we sing
When it hurts deep inside

I'd go on alone
If there came such a time
Cause youíre still inside me
Always on my mind

I may love you forever
But youíll never know
Your love will live through me
Together weíll grow

So the only kept secrets
Are the secrets of love
Our pride that prevents us
From giving her up

The love that still lingers
Long after sheís gone
Itís only my secret
That I havenít moved on

If love is one sided
It canít be set free
My heart that is broken
Is between you and me

Heart break and no fear

Good Job
I really liked how you described the pain as a blade cutting deeper. I also think I caught some nice internal rhyme here and there in you'r poem. I think people who are getting out of strong relationship can really relate to this poem.
