Chapter 4 of for better or worse

What is with organs being played at church? I never could understand why organs had to be played during weddings or period at church. I can see them being played during a memorial service but at a wedding? If homosexuals will ever be allowed to marry then at my wedding I pick out the music. No organs playing the death march. Jeff was fidgety. He was like a small, scared chipmunk. “Jeff calm down already.” I had to laugh. It was too funny. “Nothing is going to happen. Everything is going to be fine.” I tried to calm him down. “I can’t help it. I’m fidgety when I’m nerves.” He laughed. “You should have seen when I purposed to Glorya the first time. I dropped the ring three times and even fell when I was trying to kneel down.” We both laughed. “Remember when you had to give that report when we were in law school together?” We laughed. “Oh yea. That, I thought until today, was the worst day of my life. I felt like chucking right there.” He held his stomach. “I feel like chucking right now.” “’Cause you didn’t eat before we came. I’ll go grab a sandwich for you real fast.” I got up and went to the door. “Hey Dick,” I looked at Jeff. “Thanks partner. I wouldn’t of made it this far without your support.” I slapped his arm and left to get his sandwich. They had tiny triangle sandwiches filled with ham, turkey, and tuna salad. I grabbed four tunas, one for each of us. I went back and handed the tiny sandwiches to Jeff. He ate his two and made sure nothing was on his tux. I did the same for mine. I checked the clock. Five minuets till the comb dropped. “You ready Jeff?” I asked smiling. Jeff sighed and smiled. “I’d argue with the chief then go out there. But yea I’m ready.” We walked out of the grooms’ chambers and into the big room. Grooms family on the left, Brides on the right. Damn they looked high. Giant smiles and toothy grins. Jeff and I took our spots and stood there waiting. The organs started to play and in walked the brides’ maids, flower girl then Glorya. She was beautiful. The rest of the wedding was too. Even when I gave my speech it was beautiful. Well, that’s what Glorya told me afterwards. Jeff was a lucky guy.
