We were walking through the park
And we saw an eagle.

I said, “Look up in the sky -
It’s an eagle!"
We got some binoculars,
Looked up.
The eagle, it was so pretty.
We saw its nest -
The eggs were about to hatch.
And the Dadda went hunting for fish.

eagle eye
Hi Kyle. This is Smithy. I liked you poem about the eagle. We say someone has an eagle eye when they are good at spotting things. You must have an eagle eye to have seen him. Thanks for sharing what you saw.

Here in Australia we have wedge-tail eagles and lots of lizards and snakes. The picture is of a blue-tongue lizard. I have geckos too. They live in my room but they are wild. They make lots of "tuck tuck" noises at night. I'm glad you like animals. I like them too.

Looking forward to reading more of your poems

A very smart boy who's called Kyle
Didn't leave all his toys in a pile
But he hid them away,
To find the next day,
When they all said "Hello" with a smile.

When Kyle looked up to the sky,
An eagle he saw flying high,
With eggs in it's nest,
Dadda got no rest,
For fishing he then had to try.

And this clever laddie named Kyle,
Then said to his mum with a smile.
I've thought of a poem,
Of what I was doing,
Lets print it and keep it a while!

Well done Kyle, I like both of your poems and hope you are going to write some more. My favorite animals are tigers and cats because they only do what they want to do.
