Sky
As smirking optimist.
Another
Washday blue.

Heat unpegs
In drop down stifle
Of a sheet.

Plants dissolve:
Colours seep
Through bleach-grey
Garden bed.

I open the door
To shaded verandah
And unsettled
Roar of flies.
