I can stand to any one and say what’s on my mind

But I can not find the word to say the things I need

He’s just a child not much more than that

How can I tell him? How can I not?

I have searched for hours for what to say;
But there just doesn’t seem like there is a way

He is just sitting at the door waiting,
Waiting for his best friend to come home

How can I tell him? That he will never come back

I start to tell him, your dad is a brave man he saved many lives

As I tell him that his dad died a hero tears fill his eyes

When I explain to him that his dad will never come home,
He cry’s louder

He lost his best friend, he lost his dad

In those few minutes his world was turned upside down

He looks at me eyes full of tears;
And says it is ok daddy sleeps in heaven tonight

This is for all the people that have had to find the words to tell children that terrible news.
