When I am old I will not
wear purple. I will climb to
breeze-brushed hilltops, sit against
a pine and practice whistling.
I'll gather air until my
lungs regain elasticity
and cream my lips so they can
purse and tighten. I'll push my
air against rigid mucus
membranes and shape it with a
tongue honed to new sharp. I will
trill and blast and infiltrate
my space with warblings. I shall
only stop to hydrate and
resume. I'll cut my hair to
undistraction, hang tinkling
metals from my ears and laugh.
I'll belt my tunic over
velvet trousers with supple
carved, dyed leather--wear desert
boots and watch my path for stones.
I will carry wheat in small
cloth bags to nibble out of doors
and I'll wear pink with
alizarian accessories.

Kate in the "pink"
Kate: Highly enjoyable read. Enviromentally friendly, as well ("wheat in small cloth bags")...orange/red and "pink"...no "purple."..I like that...
