laughter tacked the days together
and air-bathed naked limbs swam
unfettered on the salty sand
morning meals were triangles
of frosted pale apricot melon
when forms hydro-planed to pattern
those were white-hot nights
now star beams cool the skin
new wine toasts wheaten loaves
over a single supper setting
here walking through the shallows
sipping the provocative air
smiling into the rising moon.

Katelouise: Lives on...
KL: Enjoyed this read. Wondrous imagery and "tastes."..I do not care for "the" or "and," unless really needed, but that's just me.

"star beams"...Yes.
