--It's coming to it--

Some times you get a feeling that those in political positions would like the public to just go away, and let them steal everything not tired down. The chances are you see them on television trying hard to pretend they are just like you. They have trouble doing this of course. But on more than one occasion I have watched politician doing this-- while telling those actually at their meeting how they are going to make the country a more friendly place for the wealthy and other powerful.

Frequently you see them sitting at the thousand dollar a plate dinners the representatives of the powerful. They have a twisted sense of morality. Wanting those who can least afford to pay to provide the upkeep of the wealthy.

Having found that religion is a great way to control what the masses think or want. The powerful have spent years paying lip service to the tenets of the majority religion in there area. The ability of a belief group to assimilate a percentage of these people is a tribute. Though in the belief groups paranoia they tend to become unthinking hate mongers for the powerful. Who have never been reluctant to use this to their full advantage even if it meant that the belief group would take the full anger of surrounding groups and countries.

Toward a better world. We would like to think that those in positions of power would have the welfare of those they are in charge of as one of the things that they need to fulfil, but seldom is that the case. Having found a way to a position that allows them to maintain their power they have shown an willingness to pull up any advantages that could have let anybody else come up the ladder behind them. This is a travesty, but seems to be how the powerful have been keeping their positions for at least the last fifty years.

Trying to come to terms with the power elite has become an uphill battle that is getting harder every year, with improvements in surveillance technology the powerful are starting to forgo any need to sugar coat their actions. Having found that they can just repress the masses by saying that it is for there own good, and that any who disagree must be traitors to their country and its people. How could voicing your opinion be a treasonous act in a democracy. Only in a country that is giving in to terrorists by taking freedoms away from its own citizens; turning the country into a police state is one of the purposes of attacks on non-military personal in any country.

For a couple of decades at least the powerful have begun to dismantle the educational system that has worked so well in making this country great. It seems some where someone remembered that the best way to keep a populace in line is to make them ignorant, and make them afraid of intellectuals. Having done just that they are now following the Roman's and trying to keep the masses entertained and not thinking. The belittling of any who think has become a standard plot for evening television the encouragement to be just like those seen on television is strong and backed up with advertising that is dumbing down the masses through mass consumption and the sexual exploitation of mediocrity.

People in Power
I dunno. Don't really agree with the concept of 'world leaders', but I guess some people like someone else tellng them what to do.

Thanks
Thanks the piece is rather short, and was done in a moment of anger which colors most of things like this that get to paper.
