We are locked in an eternal embrace,

kissing only once every millenia.

Gravity is our captor, ever vigilant,

never wearying.

The colors of your landscapes

fill my dreams; I sleep in turquoise

and lemon seas surrounded by mist.

Sometimes I feel you; you give me a

piece of you which I hungrily devour.

You are dying as I grow.

What will become of me without you?

Accretions of cosmic dust will produce

another partner for me, millions of years

of lonely contemplation.

I don't want to be alone.

I will commit suttee; let me be the fuel

of your funeral pyre.

We two might have been one long ago;

I shall be one again.

The title drew me in thinking this might be something about science or technology. However the title is wholly appropriate and the content was a welcome departure with a luxurious holistic appeal. You produced some nice imagery along the way. A particularly good choice of colours.
