I am waiting for a savior, or beauty or understanding, or Summer

I am still here.

You remember the day when in a dark apartment we sat

While the outside glowed green
the sprinklers turned clockwise
the pool was closed
you played guitar
I closed my eyes

Laid back listening to the music

The song moved me to tears

As he mentioned Bradbury's "All of Summer in a Day"

I cried for that girl who lived on 2424 Persimmon Rd

I wanted to run down those Augusta streets until I found her and pulled her out of the

I could see her striped t-shirt
and those blue eyes
that looked to big for her face

She was crying
She was waiting
for a savior, or beauty, or understanding, or summer

This is my favorite of all your poetry I've read. I love the visuals it produces. Excellent poem.
