Love is only good for five seconds
In the whole minute you get
So I'm counting out loud, baby
I'm counting it down

Making motions to my neck
You stand there, lips puckered
Like you're trying to miss mine
Don't keep me in your plastic case
But don't stay inside yours too long

All things melt in the sun
Turning into jelly I'm afraid
You're doing it to me now

I come home smelling like you
And you start smelling me
On your beloved t-shirt collection
I stole your CD and I stole your heart
Pick which one you want back
and I'll give it, give it up

When the stars stop exploding
The scars all over will heal
So watch where you punch me
One day it might hurt for real
But you're just a little kid yourself
So I don't think you'll ever know
These things I hold inside
