What I feel about my own writings and poems in general

Poetry gives me feelings of revitalizing
It is a lucidity to my soul
From every filth and every foul
It is a self redemption
from one’s sin and predilection

writing is a soothing smile after a burning tear
And a calming warmth to erase the fear
It conquers all hatred-wars and bring in the loving-peace
It replaces all the individual difficulties with spiritual console and ease

I am a part of my poem
And my poem is a part of me

------
The sweet is never as sweet without the sour, and I know the sour which allows me to appreciate the sweet.

writing poetry;
why is it so important to some and not to others? i was happy to read why it is important to you, fairgrace.

your poem made me think about myself, and how i feel about the subject you wrote about; i suppose that is what a good poem is supposed to do, isn't it? it should motivate the reader to stop for a moment and examine their feelings.

i enjoyed your poem.

how true these words are...we pour ourselves into our writing, they are an intimate reflection of who we are. i love your poem.
thank you for posting it.

Fairgrace's Poems
Hiba,

Been looking through you workand enjoying it. This one is good and on a similiar vain to the reasons I write poetry. I am usually on the same wavelength as Tina, so I am not surprised that the first line made me think also...I feel 'renewal' might have been a better description of myh feelings than revitalization.

I also relate this entirely to poetry and personally would have used 'poetry' again as the first word of the second stanza. However, this does not detract from the 'feeling' of the work and I found this refreshingly familiar.

Have Fun,

Ivor
