"Rec-Room Yawns"

I want a wood-paneled world.

Dig my toes deep into the orange shag grass.

Blue glow t.v. Moon.

Soggy cereal milk....sticky spoon.

Cartoons dance across heavy drapes.

Quilted blankets keeping the love seat's secrets.

Board game conquests abandoned on the floor.

Water-ring coffee table eyes.

Exercise bike in the corner will get you nowhere.

Stacked magazine towers and bed sheet forts.

Spider plants and potted ferns stuck forever in shiny plastic.

Rec-room yawns, satisfied stretches, bare feet hidden safely under couch cushion.

Rec room
This is great. I love how it envokes memories from childhood and teen years. Everyone needs a "safe" room.
