The snow came while we slept
a giant fleece blanket laid on in mid slumber

Stepping out from the darkness of the house
I step out onto a brilliant white canvas
painted in thick white stillness
a perfect black and white photograph

Winter bleak refurbished with icy brilliance
Dormant trees stand motionless with their
baren limbs now cloaked with their new furs
tinged by God's paintbrush

All that we see or seem, is but a dream within a dream....
Edgar Allen Poe
