I wish upon a star so bright
That you could hear my wish this night
Things of late have caused me tears
Nothing has allayed my fears
Time has swirled in my world
Racing past oh so fast
Somewhere on this twisted path
I have met with fortuneís wrath
The devils prodding drew me near
But weakened will has kept me here
It wasnít that I yearned to come
To being less then vile scum
But somehow I have gotten lost
More then pride has been my cost
Gloom has caught me up in dread
Whilst my beating heart has bled
And so upon this darkest night
When all I have is fear and fright
I look above and see you there
Twinkling light that rights my err
I have a wish for you to grant
When hope for me is oh so scant
Give me courage to find my course
Donít leave me to this sad remorse

An Excellent effort!
An interesting approach. I had not seen your work before. I like this one. I wish my opinion were worth more. It did cause me to go read 3 others. I think maybe I see this one as a little lighter. I hope that means you're personally begining to see the light at the end of the dark tunnel.
