I turn and look,
Holding close my books,
I say goodbye with my eyes,
Then turn them towards the skies.

An Open road lays ahead,
Leading away from a familiar bed.
I take my first step
Into the unknown
Wondering where it goes.

Before I live the well-known,
I turn and look
At an old life,
At a Loved life.

I take my steps down the road,
Knowing my childhood is behind.
I turn my eyes to the skies.
I walk down the path unknown.

interesting
I like the way you set this up. A lot of people feel this way when they think they have to leave behind their old life in order to "grow up." I like it. Kee up the good work!
