Standing at the crossroads;
contemplating as I stand,
the apex of a lifetime,
a decision so grand.

Itís one direction, alone,
the choice isnít clear,
uncertainty abounds
as the time to travel nears.

Moving forward into changes;
leaving the past to rest,
shedding the familiar
poses a unique test.

The crossroads are vast,
yet travel known directions.
With gumption tightly gripped
and determination my protection.

And in hindsight the crossroads
will some day lie buried;
perhaps Iíll think of them
and the hardships they carried.

------
I read your poems
rich and sweet
then lay roses at
your feet.

Char's Crossroads
I read this shortly after it was posted but much too tired to comment appropriately.
This is quite a brilliant write. Words well chosen, placed well in those capturing phrases.
There is NOTHING I would do to change this.
We must walk with caution in our hands, wisdom in our minds, and truth in our hearts.
You OWN these things.

Always walk with your head held high my dear friend.
