I just don't belong here
but I can't help but stay
Maybe soon I'll leave here
But maybe not today

Destiny once drew near
but I flung it far away
cowardice and fear
but who cares anyway

I just don't fit in here
but I don't know where to go
Maybe soon I'll leave here
Maybe I don't know.

All that we see or seem, is but a dream within a dream....

You really surprised me
This work is somehow stunning in the progress of the piece. I nearly groaned after the first stanza presuming it would be your typical "you don't know me" piece of poetry with nice rhythm but a tired message. I love that your poetry takes responsibility for the situation-- it's distinctive. Otherwise, fantastic rhythm and very accessible subject. Nice.
