Staring in the chasm of a soulless place
I tried to cry for a saving grace

To my dismay, no answer, reply
Is this my fate, left alone to die?

Then in the distance I heard a voice
An angel I thought was the obvious choice

No angel was he when I saw his face
All red and horned, he was a different race

A flaming dagger he held cut into my chest
My soul flew out to itís final rest

Fire and pain are all I have now
Like a love that was lost without knowing how
