A trickle of water flows steadily
It flows, like so, waiting readily
Until…one day
The dam bursts
And the water gushes away
Suddenly, simple words
Become beautiful poetry
A light kiss
Becomes mindless passion
A slow dance
Becomes an erotic motion
And a meaningless touch

And long after the water has gone
It leaves the imprint of where it has been
The mark of first escape
A road for other waters
To come and take

Though nothing can bring back the hour
Of splendour in the grass,
of glory in the flower;
We will grieve not, rather find
Strength in what remains behind

(William Wordsworth)
