[Author Note] Below is my poem "Simon Darque", which is an intro of sorts to a character in a new pulp serial I'm working on. Think of pulp hero's like The Spider and The Shadow. [/Author Note]

I am Simon
I am the Dark
I am the fear in your mind
I am the cold and the stark.

I am the wicked
I am the despised
I am the fear
I am the terror behind your eyes.

I am Simon
I am the Dark
I am the feeling, piercing your heart
I am the anger and the spark.

I am the fallen
I am the burning coal
I am the nightmare
I am the monster, come for your soul.

I am Simon.
I am the Dark.

I am - Simon Darque.

re: Simon Darque
If you were creating a cartoon, this would make a great intro. song. Slap a little bass beat behind it and bam, you're done.

Good poem and I look forward to your character. Oh by the way, I thought the fourth verse was excellent.

cool cool
I like it. I think the note at the beginning helps a lot. It gives you a context for the poem. I thought the ending was supercool.
