Life is great at the start.
Then it starts to lose its fun.

Once you learn how to love.
All you’ve got is how to hurt.

Once you learn how to hurt,
you also learn how to hate.
Once you learn hate then you have your self a permanent date.

It is one thing that never leaves but after a while it starts to feed.
It doesn’t feed off your life it only feeds off your fear.

Once your fear takes control you realize...welcome to life.

Becoming a groupie
PoetFreak,

I guess I am becoming a groupy. When I see a new post by you, I have to read it.

You have a way of making the reader know just what you are trying to say.

How true is this?:

"Once you learn how to hurt, you also learn how to hate;
Once you learn hate then you have yourself a permanent date."

But I question this part:

"Life is great at the start.
Then it starts to lose its fun.
Once you learn how to love.
All you’ve got is how to hurt."

My reason is this, I think when life starts it is great fun because your parents and family love you so much, you haven't realized yet that you have flaws.

Perhaps it is romantic love here in the poem that brings about the hurt because you are vulnerable in a romantic relationship?

Okay, it's poetry, not philosophy, right? Sorry about that!

Looking forward to your next post.

The writing that I have been posting has been new and old. Allot of my better writing has been driven my emotion and inspiration. So allot of this writing is past feelings. But some of the things such as "Once you learn how to hurt, you also learn how to hate; once you learn hate then you have yourself a permanent date." I believe is partly true.
