I must be the last Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy fan on the face of the planet to have heard about this. I just saw the teaser trailer for it today while watching the [i]Village[/] DVD. Hysterical screaming will commence.

::Screams hysterically.::

Hah, no, it's not that big of a deal.

Who am I even KIDDING? This is HUGE! Oh my GOD!

Must admit that I couldn't make it through the original film. Slogged valiantly through the first half hour or so before turning the VCR off, as the alternative would have been ramming chopsticks deep into my eyeballs to stop the horror. Not a big fan of old school British television. Or old school television in general. Or old school anything. I wasnít too awfully fond of the radio play, either. Maybe I was just born to the wrong generation. Moving on.

HUZZAH for Martin Freeman as Arthur Dent! I loved him in The Office. Canít quite say that I understand the casting of Mos Def as Ford, but eh, weíll see. Good lord, am I excited. I think my mum was afraid I was having a seizure on the couch when I saw that trailer. Ooh, the earth-explodey goodness. Iíve driven myself to a higher level of wakefulness just thinking about it.

May 6, my bipedal carbon-based friends. I cannot wait.
