A couple of months ago (to the day), Peter (peterpaulino) posted a blog to wish me a Happy Birthday. I absolutely loved it: it was terrific!
So, I thought I could pay this forward. Then, I thought "why not get a few more people in on this?"
And now, Bea, here we are:
First, Tina (tinalouise)
Birthday Bea...
In honour of your birthday,
In honour of your style,
In honour of your wisdom,
With thanks for the smiles.
A toast to Grandma Bea,
And the chance for me to say,
How much I hope you have,
The greatest of birthdays,
Your bio does no justice,
Too few words does it contain,
To get down to the depths of you,
And truly explain...
...Your wit and consideration,
Occasional sharpened tongue,
Your softness and insight,
To visitors old and young.
Bea you are a one-off,
An original prototype,
A shame they can't clone you,
And rid the world of hype.
So a big Namaste,
To your soul from mine,
And a wish for happiness,
To one who is divine.
...................................
Happy Birthday Bea - one of my favourite, down to earth, poetic friends.
Namaste Tina XX
Second, Renae (Nae)
Happy Birthday dearest Bea,
we put your name out for all to see.
Lit would never be the same without you,
so I think a Happy Birthday wish is due.
Wishing you dreams of sapphire skies,
and treasures of life's most valued prize.
Then, me (windchime)
For a perennial inspiration,
For a rose with a heart of gold:
Grandma Bea let me wish you
(If I may be so bold)
just twenty-some more birthdays
before you're a hundred years old!
Okay, that's enough. We know I can't rhyme. So let me try again:
Dear
Grandma Bea,
Toast yourself today
With Bubbly, first thing
In the morning; then stand
Out there under that blessed Sun,
God's perfect spotlight on you: happiest day!
Like notes that escape from angel song,
Your wise words keep reaching me
Where my heart needs them.
Out of your wisdom
Rises an echo
Clear as
Love.
Have a great day! Lucie
And Claire writes this:
"I didn't want the day to pass without me including my wishes to Bea.
Bea is a wonderful woman. I don't give my total allegiance and respect to many people, but she has them.
I love her very much not only because she is a good writer, but because she is a good woman, an astounding human being, and a good friend.
Happy Birthday~Bea, I'm so happy I didn't miss it."
