Note: This is a quantrain (ABBA) format, based on end times prophecy as revealed in Scripture.

Imagine everyone's surprise
when suddenly the end has come.
Though long since overdue for some,
a host will mourn their quick demise.

It was not as one would expect;
in fact, it catches unaware.
A moment, as some standing there
turned vapor, eyes could not detect.

This warning came from prophets dead,
stained pages cast in ink and blood,
to save all from impending flood,
now swamped in wrath, see terror spread.

Destruction's wide path, in its wake,
a hungry pit, which swallows whole
each sinful, unrepentant soul
who bet life never was at stake.

As God's plan ends our sinful state,
His Son will judge and thus inspect
those He will keep, those He'll reject.
No change of heart, it is too late.

Imagine then, what Christ will say
when you should meet Him face-to-face.
In Heaven, will you have a place
or by your choice be turned away?

You have such talent, Gadfly. I wish you didn't squander it on such topics, but different strokes for different folks, eh? Keep writing -- I enjoy your work!
