“Monday, Monday….”
Wasn’t that the Mama’s and the Papa’s?
Today’s Monday if you had not guessed.
What to do, the place is still a mess!

I finished my de-Christmatizing on Saturday.
Still need to take out the damn vacuum out for a go around the place.
At least I can cross Christmas off of my “to-do” list!
And so far today I was not completely fruitless.
Bed is made, dishes are done, and the place is neat.
I’m getting used to this being alone, just me.

Though I’m a bit nervous about the financials.
Praying and hoping on my shoulders are angels.
I rearranged and regrouped my wall décor.
Placed it to my liking and enjoy it even more.
I’ve plenty of time to contemplate.
Story outlines and rough drafts that I’ve created.

My mind wanders.
Where have I been?
Where I am now?
Where am I going from here?
Like everyone else the future is not clear cut.
We all have desires whether we achieve them is up to us.

My soul mate, has she come and has already gone?
Or perhaps she waits patiently for me on the horizon?
Is it possible that we’ve met already by a stroke of chance?
Will we know the time is right for us to join together and dance?
The dance of life, love, admiration, desire, devotion, and respect.
To walk side by side, hand in hand, as partners, greeting our
future together.

Aaah, vast ponderings with not many answers.
I shall quest one day at a time into my future.
With eyes, heart, mind, and soul open.
One never knows which way the path is going.

Carol,
I have read this and thought I commented...sorry. I am not clearly thinking these days...YES that last line. I have always loved this kind of writing. I have read your others, wanting to say I am sorry for your loss of partner. Surely your true soul-mate is waiting out there, somewhere for you as well Carol.
Also I read your "woe" comment to Claire....it is strange indeed her sudden departer for it was only 2 weeks before how she was saying she loved it here...well I sure hope you won't leave, I am thinking of trying to post and comment more, even though my life is in shambles.
Keep posting Carol....too many of us old regulars are missing here aren't we?

Walk with your chin up, smile at that lonely person, you never know she may be the one.

My best to you,
Darlene
