Lying in an unmarked grave
ending all plans you made.
Plans of going on to do countless
things you’d never done.
Righting wrongs within reach;
at least in heart as well as speech.
Lying in an unmarked grave,
what was lost, what was saved?

------
I read your poems
rich and sweet
then lay roses at
your feet.

Char,
This tugged at my heart strings, and bought tears to my eyes. Beautiful write. It is good to see your work, you always make me happy I stopped by.

Lovely internal rhythm in this one. I'm with Lucie - the last line so full of pathos and wraps this up nicely while leaving the feeling of emptiness unfinished. If that makes sense! huni.

Can I say anything that has not been said on this? Char you are a wonder. I overlooked commenting this. It is a slow process trying to catch up with all I have missed these past few months...
I agree with all the above. Your brevity is brilliant in alot of your poems Char.
Miss reading you....was nice to find this, dear friend....
