Wind picks up the newly green leaf
In april as it falls from the tree.
Rustled by the woman empathetic and antithetic and crying
About the bruise and the stinging.
It\'s so green it\'s almost brown;
But green because it\'s new.
Coincidentally plucked from its perch on the second lowest branch,
Picked up by the man innocent and curious and furious
About the leaf, the tree and me:
Grown as the leaf--the fall perhaps a climb
Blurring the line; time is the only divide:

Synapse and lapse
Innocence and Intelligence
Zeal and righteousness
Need and breeding
Fate and freedom
Him and her,
And me.
