Dear Journal:

Some random thoughts for me this morní
The revolution is here and a traveler is born.

Christine is coming to pack more of her things.
I cannot believe she asked me to be amicable please.
It is not I that has been pushing the buttons here.
But the offender tends not to see what is often so clear.

She is also taking Chiqua, HER DOG, with her.
I will so miss her comfort, the smell and feel of her fur
The way we played fetch with her favorite toys.
Just having her here filled me with joy.

One might say this holiday season was hard for me
I have found strength and courage so I disagree
During those tumultuous times with her and I
Things were said and done which opened my eyes.

I have a daughter, beautiful, fun, and her nameís Cait
I love her, cherish her, worry, and do whatever it takes.
To keep her happy, safe, so she knows Iím here for her.
To tighten our strings after the divorce and grow even closer.

Itís been two weeks since the start of winter.
Already I feel so cooped up with cabin fever.
I wish to depart and seek out little adventures
Visit friends and places Iíve never been before.

I am longing to escape these walls, and explore.
With itchy feet Iím ready to walk out the door.
