The dank, dark evening sky further dragged my spirits down.
The white cathedral on the hill even failed,
in its illuminating brilliance to lift the gloom.
With the fog descending over the small cobbled lanes,
spilling out into the streets like a torrent of water
from some dam,
suddenly free from its confines of concrete and mortar.
The rain came down in sheets, heavy,
but just a light drizzle in comparison to the tears.

RE:
Thanks for the comments, well what it’s really about well…it’s about loving someone so much and how hard it is to think of anything else other than that person. Thus this is an attempt to turn my thoughts too something else…so the weather…hmm why not? As for the repeat of dark, I don’t repeat the word dark, it’s dank

amusing
Very nice title that you chose to go with the poem, it suits it very well.
I'm finding it a bit hard to see the comparison between love and the weather in your poem, but it might just be me, but overall I really liked it.

Love vs Bad Weather
The problem I have is the love in comparison to
the bad weather, I think this is just a title
problem. I like this write, the last two lines
pull this together quite well. I can feel this
poem in relationship to a "broken heart from a
love", whatever the reason. Robinbird
