This is partly to say thanks to all you vundermensch for posting comments about my various 'stuff' - I never seem to find the time lately to reply properly. In view of the terrible events of the last week - I wonder which countries have a population smaller than the number of people killed. It forces me to think and rethink my values and priorities. I hear some people bemoaning the fact they can't afford a new mobile phone for Christmas and see a young woman begging for money outside Tesco's, herself and her dog wrapped in a blanket.

I read about bomb attacks in Iraq killing soldiers and innocent people. Then I have this crazy thought. Is our planet saying to these evil murderers of babies and innocent people, "Is that the best you can do? Watch this." and with a snap of its fingers wipes out thousands of lives. Maybe the Earth is saying, "Look, I've just about had it with you bastards soaking me in blood. You think your weapons are sooo fine. Well, I can whup your arse, any time, any place."
I'm sorry if that seems insensitive, especially to the families who've lost loved ones in the tsunami. What I'm trying to say is, that for all these self-appointed 'freedom' fighters' strutting, posing and narrow minded raving about 'fighting for a holy cause'. For all their killing innocent people because they won't subscribe to their insane extremist viewpoints, they are insignificant nothings compared to the might of Nature and maybe it's time for them to give up killing and take up talking.
If that happens then at least some good will have come out of the disaster that has caused so much grief to so many people.
Take care on this last day of the old year and I'll light a candle tonight for those that have suffered and pray for that old cliche of World Peace in '05. (Btw, you'll note in my bio, I don't care if it's a cliche, I still fervently hope for its advent.)

In five hundred years time, most of us will be forgotten dust. But Hitler will still be remembered, God loves irony.
