My memory of the way Haiku works is vague but isn't the second line supposed to have 17 syllables?

17 syllables? Haiku
The most common form of Haiku is 5-7-5 syllables, each line to stand on it's own.

There are many forms of Haiku. Call the attention of our friend here Teflon....or even put on a blog asking for help on Haiku forms.
