The aftermath and the war and the stork carrying the newborn baby-what did these

things have in common I was asked; Hmmm...Aftermath was an incredible thing?
War was incredulous...a stork carrying a baby, outlandish-beyond my skill or
expertise I thought-I answered,"The aftermath, the war and the stork carrying
the baby, means a baby boom is coming"-"Correct!"-replied the nurse. Finally
I was returning pleasing answers, and not getting the typical sour grins-I
liked it better when they didn't speak to me behind that mirror-"Roswell, the
Ace of Spades, and the U.S.S.R."-I was thinking this as she was saying it,
not difficult, most people call it listening closely-I just don't comprehend
the words in the same way-"War!" I exclaimed. It was getting close to 1965, and
the summer here was bitter and wet, humid I suppose-but I have never been "out
there"-so humid is warm and dry-without sweat from the body, humidity isn't
there yet-I hope this changes my mind, because I am no scientist and this is
how they want me to think-as if everything was gone, and it had to be explained
all over, from scratch-like grandmas blueberry pie-I think.
