Composer's hear it when they sit down to play
They pull it right out of the ebon sky
Mystic and haunting at times it makes you want to cry
That's poetry in motion all around like the sun ray's

Do you hear that rumbling thunder of the symphony
Or the blues traveling down the road to your soul
Perhaps you may even feel it in a bit of rock-n-roll
That my friend is the music of poetry

Artist paint it for the eyes to behold
With colors of the rainbow done with a magic brush
Bold and pulsing with its own living rush
You know thats poetry setting your heart aglow

Its in music, paintings, written in words or in a dream
So elusive tantalizing like a leprechauns gold
With fever of emotions pouring from the soul
All that's poetry and its dancing on a moon beam
