A shiny glint of metal,
the silent wave from the torchlight,
a howling wind moves down the corridor,
but what was this stranger's name?

Up the stone staircase he rose,
heartbeats pounding like thunder,
as he stood like a giant in the doorway,
but what was this stranger's name?

His long strides across the floor,
the glimmer of blood on his armor,
brought fear to the eyes of the room,
but what was this stranger's name?

He stopped and turned as his eyes caught sight,
of what he had came to find that night.
His search finally over, soon, rest he would find,
but what was this stranger's name?

He reached, but not to draw on his sword,
yet a gentle hand offered to one on the floor.
He raised her up and swept her away,
but what was this stranger's name?
