I Jeannie Simpson, of Greenville, SC was crowned "Miss Ultra Queen" 2004-2005
on November 13, 2004... As I was crowned, I was given a dozen roses and a big
trophy... as I walked proudly across the stage with a huge smile upon my face, and
my heart was pounding fast by the minute...

It was one of the most enjoyable moments of my life; All of the contestants
introduced their self to the judges; we did a praise dance, we introduced ourself
to the public...first we had a luncheon with our relatives, friends, and the judges..

At 1:30 p.m the Pageant had begun; it started at 11:30 a.m. (introduction to the Judges)

We introduced ourselves again in a dressy outfit for introduction to the was
awesome! The people were so nice and the runner-ups received gifts also...
all the contestants were nice and humble as they could be...

It was truly amazing; after the praise dance, we had other dancers there, singers,
and other people performing their talent! And last, were the evening gowns...
my evening gown were black with black beads, and I wore a beautiful silver
sparkling shawl that when the light was on me, it sparkleld like diamonds...I wore
clear shoes, crystal earrings, necklace, and a crystal braclet..the light brought out
the color real good...

To top it off, I won a scholarship for one full year at Greenville Technical College.
(going back to school, well! I can handle that)

I won a trip to Myrtle Beach...I will use take that trip next year, if the Lord's willing... Also,
I won a gift-card from Wal-mart, and a few prizes in a gift bag...

At the end of the Pageant, all of the "Queens" that won in each category got to take
pictures with " Miss South Carolina" wow! that was so exciting...What a evening I had...

Next month, all the "Queens" will be in the Christmas Parade in about two
weeks; we were told that we would be riding in a "White Carriage with horses"
and have to wear our crown...

I can certainly say this! A lot of pictures were taken at the Pageant...I haven't seen
that many flashes in a long time..(since my son graduated from college) Now that
it is all over, I can get back to my Family here at least that's what I call everyone here...this is where the heart is, I would like to think...

Thanks to all who prayed for me and wished me well. and thanks for
the ones who said nothing, but read the announcement... I'm glad to be back on the set...

Be Blessed All,

"If we will seek the counsel of the One who keeps us, and not of our own understanding; Then we would accomplish much, much more" - ~Jeannie Simpson~

...I'm very down on the whole pageant thing.

However, I've mellowed to it slightly. Why?

In comparison with Britney Whore and all the skank in the media, Miss America has become the stronghold of wholesome womanhood in vast comparison. It actually becomes refreshing.

However I still will not let my daughters come anywhere near that sort of thing, should I ever have children. (Curse the world! Aye! Mauahahahaha...)
